Block Trailer

The Chieftain 3 Axle Block Trailer is a robust and dependable transport solution, built specifically for carrying heavy construction products such as concrete blocks, precast concrete segments, kerbs, slabs and other dense building materials. Designed for strength, compliance and day-to-day commercial use, the trailer is supplied with EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval certification and is engineered to meet the demands of professional operators in the construction, precast, builders’ merchant and infrastructure sectors.

With a gross weight of 25 tonnes and a standard 6.5m deck length, this trailer provides a strong and practical load platform for transporting heavy palletised or stacked materials. The chequered plate steel floor offers excellent durability for loading and unloading blocks, precast products and construction materials, while recessed lashing rings positioned in the side chimes and on the deck allow loads to be securely restrained during transport.

The trailer is fitted with 420 x 180mm commercial axles, air suspension with raise/lower valve and a front lift axle, helping improve manoeuvrability and reduce tyre wear when running lighter or empty. The two-line air braking system with WABCO EBS, load sensing valve, park and shunt valves, spring brakes and automatic slack adjusters provides reliable braking performance and safe operation on the road.

For road visibility and compliance, the trailer includes a 24 volt ISO standard electrical circuit with either 2 x 7 pin or 1 x 15 pin sockets, rear LED lamp clusters, front and side LED marker lights, front and rear outline LED marker lights, rear red triangular reflectors, side amber reflectors and a licence plate holder with light. Red and yellow air susies, electric and 24V EBS susies are also supplied as standard.

Built with operator practicality in mind, the Chieftain 3 Axle Block Trailer includes a 410mm high fixed headboard, stainless steel toolboxes, two-speed adjustable height jacking leg with handle, bolt-on spray suppression mud flaps behind each wheel, and sideguards fitted under the side chimes. Safety labels and conspicuity high-visibility tape are fitted to the rear and sides of the trailer, while the trailer is finished in a durable 2 pack primer and paint system.

A range of optional extras is available to suit different operational requirements, including various platform lengths, telescopic drawbar, air-locked rear steer axle, rear reversing camera with monitor, LED flashing strobes, LED worklamps, and aluminium or steel drop-down sides.
