2 Axle Semi Low Loaders

Chieftain’s 2 Axle Semi Low Loader is designed and manufactured for the efficient transportation of heavy plant, construction machinery, access equipment and specialist loads, combining robust construction, practical dimensions and versatile loading capability for demanding commercial operations.

With a 38-tonne gross weight and 11.5m overall length, the 2 Axle Semi Low Loader provides substantial carrying capability within a more compact trailer configuration, making it particularly suited to operators who require flexibility across a wide range of plant and machinery movements. The trailer is compliant with EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval.

The heavy-duty chassis is constructed from high-tensile RHS box section and incorporates 8mm S355 folded high-tensile steel side chimes. A durable Keruing hardwood floor provides a hard-wearing loading surface designed to withstand the demands of regular plant and machinery transport.

Loading flexibility is central to the design. Hydraulic powerslide rear ramps, operated by an electrically driven hydraulic power pack, can be positioned to accommodate different machine track widths, allowing a wide variety of tracked and wheeled equipment to be loaded. A full-width hydraulic neck ramp provides easy access onto the trailer neck, helping operators make effective use of the available loading area.

Swing-down support legs beneath the beavertail provide additional support during loading and unloading, while optional galvanised telescopic outriggers, outrigger boards and dedicated galvanised storage trays provide additional flexibility when transporting wider machinery.

Heavy-duty commercial running gear includes 10-stud commercial axles with 310 x 190 brakes and automatic slack adjusters, together with air suspension incorporating a raise/lower valve. Dual-line air brakes with WABCO EBS, load sensing and park and shunt valves provide dependable braking performance for intensive commercial operation.

Load security has been incorporated throughout the trailer, with lashing rings recessed into both the side chimes and deck, providing multiple secure restraint points while maintaining a clear and practical loading surface.

The trailer is comprehensively equipped for day-to-day professional use, including lockable stainless-steel toolboxes with rubber-sealed doors, twin rear LED flashing strobes, full LED road lighting, galvanised T-bar overrun, spare wheel and a wireless reversing camera with in-cab monitor. A tyre pressure monitoring system provides additional visibility of tyre condition during operation.

A wide range of optional equipment allows the trailer to be tailored to individual transport requirements, including a hydraulic flip-toe ramp, galvanised telescopic outriggers, wide marker boards with LED lights, aluminium neck surround, ISO twistlocks, fall-arrest system, removable posts, winch and alloy rims.
