3 Axle Skelly Skip Trailer

The Chieftain 3 Axle Skelly RORO Skip Trailer is purpose-built for the safe and efficient transportation of CHEM standard roll-on roll-off skips and waste containers. Supplied with EU Whole Vehicle Type Approval, it combines a heavy-duty skelly frame, secure container-retention system and commercial-spec running gear for demanding waste-management, recycling and industrial transport operations.

With a 25-tonne gross weight and 6.5-metre bed length, the trailer provides substantial carrying capability for professional skip transport. At the centre of the design is its heavy-duty skelly frame, engineered specifically around the requirements of roll-on roll-off container transport.

Two guide rails assist with the loading, positioning and movement of bins along the trailer, while four air-operated spring-return skip clamps securely retain the container during transport.

The trailer is supported by two adjustable jack legs at the rear and one at the front, providing additional stability when required.

Commercial axles are combined with air suspension and raise/lower control, delivering dependable load support and road performance. The braking specification includes a dual-line air system with WABCO EBS, together with load sensing, park and shunt valves, spring brakes and automatic slack adjusters.

The road-going specification includes a comprehensive 24V ISO electrical system, full LED lighting, spray-suppression mudflaps, sideguards and conspicuity markings. Red and yellow air suzies, electrical and EBS connections and a stainless steel toolbox are also included, while customers can select either a 50mm or 57.5mm bolt-on towing eye to suit their individual requirements.
