2 Axle Fast Tow Forestry

Chieftain’s 2 Axle Fast Tow Forestry Trailer is designed and manufactured specifically for the transportation of forestry forwarders, harvesters and other specialist forestry machinery. With a 19-tonne gross trailer weight and 9m platform length, it offers a strong and versatile transport solution for forestry contractors and operators requiring dependable performance on the road and in demanding working environments.

The trailer is fitted with fast-tow commercial running gear, including 10-stud commercial axles, 310 x 190 brakes with automatic slack adjusters, parabolic spring suspension with adjustable torque arms, and combined air and hydraulic braking with load sensing on the air brakes. A sprung drawbar, adjustable hitch and 50mm heavy-duty towing eye provide reliable towing performance.

For loading and securing machinery, the trailer features 730mm wide manual front and rear ramps, tying points along the chassis legs and an integrated toolbox manufactured into the trailer bed. Practical features also include a removable foot stool beneath the drawbar, secure hose pipe holder, mechanical ratchet handbrake and full LED road lighting.

The trailer is supplied on 235/75 R17.5 tyres and is fully shot blasted before being finished in a durable 2-pack primer and paint system, providing long-lasting protection against corrosion and the demanding conditions associated with forestry work.

A comprehensive range of optional equipment allows the trailer to be tailored to individual operating requirements, including hydraulic rear ramps, air suspension, rear steer axle, timber bed covering, galvanised telescopic outriggers, hydraulic jack leg, LED work lamps and flashing strobes, wide marker boards, spare wheel, 80mm ball towing eye, two-line air brakes and a wireless reversing camera with in-cab monitor.
